White Belt – Elbow, Tummy, Shoulder Tag
Learn the basics of elbow, tummy and shoulder tag! Always do this with absolute control and with an adult, making sure your fingers do not go close to your partners face or eyes. This great little game/exercise helps us develop foot work, speed, timing, accuracy, reaction times... all before we even start sparring. The first step is to learn out target zones a) Elbows b) Tummy c) Shoulders. You will notice the way students "tag" each other mimics the strikes we use in sparring (jab, cross, hooks etc). See if you can have a go with a friend at home (with an adult!) and see how many points you can get :). TIP: Don't clench your fists, keep your hands open and your guard up, this way you will be able to defend from strikes!
