No 5: Developing Leadership skills in young people teaches resilience and the pursuit of challenge and adventure
Part of being a leader is setting goals, having a vision and motivating a group to achieve goals and surpass their expectations. While developing these skills as leaders we also begin to pursue challenge and adventure as we understand the huge benefits that come from conquering challenges. It becomes a positive learning experience for us and we seek to complete more challenges as a result.
By seeking out more challenges and adventure we broaden our comfort zone and become more resilient, we are able to persevere through difficult times and deal with a greater workload. By developing a strong, resilient mindset that pursues challenge and adventure, we are able to solve BIGGER problems when they are presented to us, in fact, we seek out bigger problems to solve. We are, therefore, able to make a greater impact on our own lives, the community and the world.
