Kids Martial Arts in Amesbury

Juniors from Amesbury and Salisbury practise punches in lines at The Warrior Academy Character Development Centre

For Amesbury children, the nearest club is our own purpose-built Character Development Centre at High Post, just down the A345. Lots of families from Amesbury have trained with us over the years, and it is the only club we run four evenings a week.

A garrison town school run

From Archers Gate and Kings Gate the quickest way is Stockport Avenue onto the A345; from the old town and the Abbey it is London Road, then the A345. High Post is the first business park heading south, on the left just past the Beehive park and ride.

Plenty of Amesbury households have a parent at Boscombe Down, Larkhill or Bulford. Because every one of our six clubs follows the same syllabus, a child who moves with a posting carries every grade with them.

A 3.15pm finish at Archer or King’s Gate leaves time to change and make the 3.50pm Juniors session on a Monday or Wednesday. After-school clubs in local primaries begin in January 2027; register your interest.

The route

Get directions

Built for the whole family

Parking outside Technology House is free and there is room to wait indoors, so nobody has to drop and drive. On Monday and Wednesday evenings a parent can join the adult session while their child trains next door.

The programme itself is Freestyle Taekwondo, one graded syllabus drawing on taekwondo, boxing, Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu, taught by a world class international team. Our Salisbury HQ is rated 5.0 from 106 Google reviews.

Amesbury parents often ask

How long does it take to get from Amesbury to High Post?

Around 7 minutes on a quiet road and up to 12 at school pick-up time. It is 3.7 miles down the A345.

My partner is posted to Larkhill or Bulford. What if we move?

Your child keeps every belt. The syllabus and gradings are identical at all six of our clubs, so a new posting never means starting again.

Can parents train too?

Yes. High Post is the only one of our clubs with adult sessions, on Monday and Wednesday evenings, so you can train while your child is on the next mat.

Try a session at High Post

Your first session is free, and we will match your child to the right group.
