Kids Martial Arts in Old Sarum

Juniors practise blocks in lines at The Warrior Academy Character Development Centre

Old Sarum has one of the shortest school runs of any area we serve: our Character Development Centre at High Post is just up the A345, about five minutes from the estate. Over the years, lots of Old Sarum families have made it part of their week.

No city traffic on the way

Old Sarum and Longhedge sit right beside the A345, so the drive heads north, away from Salisbury, the ring road and the busiest pick-up queues.

Children leaving Old Sarum Primary can be changed and ready for the 3.50pm Juniors session on Mondays and Wednesdays. Our after-school clubs come to local primaries from January 2027; tell us you are interested.

Room to grow at headquarters

Village hall clubs run one evening a week; High Post runs four. As an Old Sarum child moves up the belts, they can add dedicated sparring, weapons work and leadership training without changing club.

Every session is built around the 3 C’s, Confidence, Conduct and Concentration, and belts are earned at proper gradings.

Questions from Old Sarum

Is it really only five minutes from Old Sarum?

Yes, for most of the estate. Pheasant Drive to High Post is 2.6 miles north on the A345, with no need to cross the city.

What happens as my child gets older?

Because High Post is our headquarters, older students can add sessions the village clubs do not offer: sparring on Tuesdays, weapons on Thursdays, and a Leaders and black belts group.

Does my child need kit for the first visit?

No. Comfortable clothes are fine for the free taster. Uniform is ordered through our shop if your child joins.
