Families in Porton, Gomeldon and the wider Bourne valley train at our Character Development Centre at High Post, around seven minutes away. We have welcomed lots of families from Porton over the years, from little juniors through to black belts.
Village school, then a proper dojo
Porton children usually come from St Nicholas or Gomeldon, two small village primaries, and step into our purpose-built headquarters, with room for parents to wait inside and free parking on the business park.

Tuesday’s 4.45pm Juniors session gives time for a snack at home first; Monday and Wednesday also have a 3.50pm start. School-based clubs follow from January 2027, register here.
Two children, one evening
Monday and Wednesday are the easiest nights for families with more than one child: juniors train first, seniors straight after, and a parent can join the adult session at 7.30pm.

Getting there
What Porton parents want to know
Which way do Porton families drive?
Most take the A338 across to the A345, about 3.6 miles and 7 minutes, rather than going into Salisbury.
Can brothers and sisters of different ages come on the same night?
Usually, yes. On Mondays and Wednesdays there are Juniors sessions followed by Seniors, so a younger and an older child can train back to back.
We live in Gomeldon or the Winterbournes. Is High Post still the closest?
Yes. High Post is the nearest of our six clubs to the Bourne valley villages.
